The Crucifixion and Resurrection (Good Friday and Easter Sunday)

Good Friday and Easter Sunday 🐇

Good Friday is one of the most significant days in the Christian calendar. Observed during their Holy Week, and is said to commemorate what Christians believe to be the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (known as Isa in Islam) and his death at Calvary.

According to Christian tradition, Good Friday is followed by Easter Sunday, celebrated as the day of Jesus’ resurrection. Together, these days are said to symbolise humanity’s redemption from sin, forgiveness, and the promise of eternal life.

Christian Beliefs ⛪️

Christians view these events as the ultimate act of divine love: Jesus, the Son of “God”, is believed to have died for humanity’s sins and risen from the dead, offering salvation and hope to all believers.

Jesus is not the Son of God, but the son of Maryam and Musa. He did not die on the cross, nor was he resurrected on the third day.

Christians may think that this is another miracle performed by Jesus; however, the miracles he performed are described in the Qur’an.

Some of Isa’s miracles mentioned in the Qur’an include:

• Speaking as an infant to defend his mother: Maryam 19:29–30

• Healing the blind and lepers by Allah’s permission;

• Raising the dead by Allah’s permission; and

• Creating a bird from clay and breathing life into it by Allah’s permission: Al-Imran 3:49

Allah’s Words Verbatim 🤲🏿

“It befits not the Majesty of Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” – Maryam 19:35

“They did not kill him nor crucify him, but it was made to appear so to them. And those who differ about it are in doubt… rather, Allah raised him up to Himself. Allah is Ever Mighty, Wise.” – An-Nisa 4:158

Allah further says:

“…No bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another… He who is guided, does so for the good of his own soul, and he who errs, errs only against it…” – Al-Isra 17:15

Basically:

“…No person earns any (sin) except against himself, and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another…” – Al-An‘am 6:164

Massiah Family of Imran 🌙

Christians, like Muslims, will be held accountable for their own sins. Isa will not bear the sins of the matriarch, the patriarch, any individual, or humanity at large. No parent would wish their child to carry the burden of others’ wrongdoings, and it is unfair for Christians who target Muslims and commit sins daily to expect our unborn son to bear their burdens.

Regardless of any beliefs or intentions to misrepresent this family, the Massiah Family of Imran are Muslims. We are not associated with any faith, group, or individuals outside of the Qur’an or the scattered Children of Israel. Our allegiance is to Allah alone, and we do not form alliances.

“And [mention] when We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate to Adam,’ and they prostrated, except for Iblis. He was of the jinn and departed from the command of his Lord. Then will you take him and his descendants as allies instead of Me while they are enemies to you? Wretched is the exchange for the wrongdoers.” – Al-Kahf 18:50

The Trinity: 3 x 1 = 3 ☝🏿

“They surely disbelieve who say: ‘Indeed, Allah is the third of three.’ But there is no god except one God …” – Al-Ma’idah 5:73

Allah affirms belief in all messengers, including Jesus, as part of the line of prophets from Adam to Muhammad (peace be upon them all):

“Say, ‘We believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the descendants, and what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.’” – Al-Imran 3:84

Isa, Jesus a Black Muslim 💯

Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) will descend from the lineage of Ishmael. He is a Muslim, a prophet, and a messenger of Allah, sent specifically to guide the Children of Israel. He performed miracles by Allah’s permission, but he is not divine and worships only Allah.

The Qur’an also addresses the idea of worshipping Jesus or his mother Mary:

“And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, ‘O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you ever say to the people, “Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah”?’ He will answer, ‘Glory be to You! … I never told them except what You commanded me – to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord!’” – Al-Ma’idah 5:116–11

Divine Truth and Final Accountability ✅

“On the Day when every soul will find what it has done of good present [before it] and what it has done of evil, it will wish that there were a great distance between it and its evil…” – Al-Imran 3:30

The Qur’an does not describe his death, crucifixion, or rising on the third day because it did not happen, and is the enemies belief.

Allah saved him from death at the hands of his enemies and raised him up: An-Nisa 4:158

In Islam, the miracle is his preservation and ascension—not a resurrection after death, but a return through Allah’s divine plan, descending through preservation to continue his mission.

Conclusion 🧠

Good Friday and Easter Sunday are central to Christian belief, commemorating what they believed to be Jesus’ death and resurrection.

As the Massiah Family of Imran, we are obligated to inform you about the truth regarding our family:

• These events did not occur as understood in Christian theology.

Jesus is deeply respected as a prophet and was not crucified nor resurrected.

Worship is due only to Allah, and the celebration of Easter is not associated with Isa, the Messiah.

We ask that Isa (the Messiah), Jesus the Son of Mary, is not misrepresented moving forward.

Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. – Al-Imran (3:185)
